     Our Mission Statement:

To promote, provide and facilitate equal access to every individual wanting to experience the arts.

The Florida Access Coalition for the Arts (FLACA) is a tri-county organization serving Broward, Miami Dade and Palm Beach counties. FLACA grew out of the 2009 John F. Kennedy sponsored Leadership in the Arts and Disability (LEAD) Conference. held that year in Washington, D.C.

The coalition meets quarterly rotating between FLACA member venues in order to share and discuss best practices and procedures related to ADA/accessibility issues.

In 2011, founding FLACA members presented "Regionalizing the LEAD Experience," at the LEAD Conference held in Louisville, Kentucky. This workshop provided a history of FLACA and the steps regional groups can take to create their own access coalitions throughout the United States.
